Parker Millsap is not a new name to me but may be to many of you. I discovered his music almost two years ago now and was instantly blown away by what the then 19 year old Millsap had accomplished on his first album. I had the chance to interview Parker a while back for the Texas Red Dirt Roads website and dug a little deeper and needless to say, the guy continued to impress.

The last year has seen him starting to enjoy an incredible amount of success which just serves to prove that he is destined for big things. He has opened recently for fellow Okie John Fullbright as well as several shows with Old Crow Medicine Show.  Including a New Year's Eve show with OCMS at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The song below is from his just released self titled second album. A fantastic effort from beginning to end the new album continues to showcase Millsap's incredible songwriting and ability to tell a story through song that is at a level that makes it near impossible to believe that he is still just shy of his 21st birthday. It transcends any genre label that folks might try and attach to it as Millsap has masterfully blended american, blue grass, country, folk and blues into on amazing piece of art.
